I wonder... are Bruneians more busy with Bobby Chinn's (a chef/ celebrity) visit to Brunei or are they more concerned and anxious about the Israeli massacre on the Gaza aid flotilla?
Everyday, we ask these sort of question.
"Which restaurant now?", "Beef or chicken?", "To ride the Lexus or the Honda?", "Should I ask dad for a new phone?" and so on...
But the Palestinians, the questions they would ask themselves would be, "Any food today?", "Is my mother still alive?", "Why isn't dad home yet?".
Still... we shout out and cry, saying life isn't fair. How you complain that your parents aren't treating you right. How your teachers or boss is giving a hard time. How the chicken for lunch just now wasn't tasty enough. How you crave for Kinder Bueno White and all you have to do is stop by the tuck shop.
Palestinians... they want to go to school. But all that's left is dust and piles of rock. They want to perform jamaah for prayers at the Masjid al-Aqsa. But the Israelis ask for identification cards and questions nonsense, if they're lucky. Going home safe isn't much of a norm. They don't even know what apples are... let alone chocolates.
But WHY? Why all this when it is their home?

Please pray or make du'a for our brothers and sisters in Palestine. For du'a are weapons for true Muslims. Pray for their patience and serenity. Pray that their imaan, trust for Allah to always be there in their hearts.
Take alms out of their property, you would cleanse them and purify them thereby, and pray for them; surely your prayer is a relief to them; and Allah is Hearing, Knowing. (At-Taubah 103)
When someone drives recklessly on the road, and annoys you, steals things from you, breaks your heart, doesn't pay your wages, drives you crazy yada yadaa. You think they've gone overboard. And that you've reached your limit for patience. What about the Palestinians? Compared to the Palestinians, do you think your patience level is anywhere as much? You're no competition.
